Our Leadership

Elders

Ed Foster – Pastor

I came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ during childhood from an unchurched home and was baptized at age 13. During college I believed God was calling me to preach and completed a BA in Bible, and an MA in pastoral studies from Bob Jones University.  I administrated  a small Christian school at my home church in California and pastored churches in Arizona and Montana. In 2012 I began pastoring at Northwoods Baptist. I have been married to Robin since 1983, and we have 8 adult children and 15 grandchildren. I love to preach the gospel and disciple those who have been called by grace. Please join us in the fellowship of the saints!

Keith White

I am Keith White, a husband, father, engineer, and follower of Jesus Christ who serves our church as one of the Elders.  My wife and I have been members here since 1989 and would welcome the opportunity to serve our living God with you.  We are blessed with a very large family which now includes (18) grandchildren.  We enjoy life!  Come experience it with us by joining our body of believers in Rhinelander WI.

Deacons

Marty Mathews

I was converted by the Lord while in college at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. I was baptised into Northwoods Baptist Church in 1986 and have been a member here ever since. I have been a deacon in the church for 25 years. My wife, Kelly and I have been married for 32 years and have 10 children and four grand children.

Ryan Schouweiler

I moved to Rhinelander, WI in 2013 to work as a physical therapist. When I first moved to Rhinelander I would have said that I was a Christian but I was not living in a way consistent with God’s Word. I began to have a desire to spend more time reading my bible looking for ways I could answer the doubts I had about God. In 2014 it was through 1 Timothy 1:15 “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost” that God opened my eyes and I saw myself as the sinner and that I needed a savior. I repented and believed in Jesus Christ as my savior. I then married my wife (Katie) and we currently have two sons (Dean and Clint). I am involved in teaching Sunday School classes, bible studies, and helping with any needs that arise at Northwoods Baptist Church.
